The LEMA network will be attended by experts at European level, who will help to propose European policy solutions and work on optimizing the management of marine litter in territorial terms. This was decided at the second technical and steering committee of the Life LEMA project, which took place on 22 and 23 February at the research center Rivages Pro Tech in Bidart.
During this meeting the evolution of the actions already started was presented and the work plan was defined for the next 6 months. In addition, the composition of the Coordination Committee was approved and one of the cleaning vessels participating in the Life LEMA project was visited. This vessel will operate in the collection of floating marine litter during the summer in the coast of Biarritz.
It is planned to carry out a total of 6 technical meetings with all the partners in order to define the specific objectives of each period, to review the status of the project and to plan the following periods.
